Re: Houston 5-blade up my butt
I should have a 30 labbed Bravo on my door step by early morning. The only reason I called Houston Prop was because I saw them on OSO and they were selling labbed props for $699. This is my first dealing with Houston Prop, I called them on Tuesday and said I had to have it by Friday, they guaranteed delivery by Friday and I gave them my card #. I sure hope to see a 30 Bravo labbed right handed for an XR drive on my door step in the morning. Either way, I'll let everyone know, good or bad.

So what should have he bought to improve his speed ?
I would guess if I where spend the money for 5 blade props it would be to improve speed.
Darrin Should a 5 blade improve the speed over a 4 blade????
Not that its your case but-I know when some people order things they tell the seller what they want and should listen to the seller what they should need .Some people know every thing . I always listen and learn.
Hope things works out. RJ1340 thats a very generalized statement.

I'm laying in bed, checking posts on OSO, watching the news with my wife and 3 dogs and I'm thinking, this is nice....but it ain't thrilling. I think if you offshore maniacs think about it, there's no way to experience the thrill of offshore powerboating online. No way. There's actually no way to experience the thrill of ANYTHING online unless you're playing with yourself the whole time or surfing kiddie porn.
So what are we doing here? One goof feels compelled to share his porno discoveries with us, two or three are experts on absolutely everything and one of you guys either can't spell or can't find the right keys. Some of you ask the stupidest questions, How do I go slow and stay on plane, What should I name my boat, How much is your insurance....who the hell tells you what to do at work?
You talk about killing and war like you could buy a clue if you had the dough. If I was staying, which I'm not I would have a poll to see how many of you preachy hippocrites ever had your best buddy - what's left of him - bleed out in your arms. Not too many, I'll bet.
Everyone else is selling something and they're not even very reliable. Don't be mad. If I ever see you out there in any kind of trouble I will readily help you out (I actually can wrench). I love boating, biking, skiing....anything outdoors. Now how can I possibly experience any of those thrills sitting here on my computer.
Splash out.

Re: Houston 5-blade up my butt
will a five blade increase speed ?yes, usually in midrange not so on top end .generally the five bld will run a little slower unless its a herring .RJ states his five blds ran 1 mph less than his 30's four blds I, would say thats pretty good.

My guess is that it would be impossible to work with someone who starts a thread with the phrase:
"up my butt"
With that in mind Darin, I would focus my R&D with another party.

Re: Houston 5-blade up my butt
Darin labbed a prop for me last year and I gained 3-4 mph overall
better top end and better planning time, I had the prop back in less than 10 days too.
