This weekend was the first I had the boat in the drink with the new engine. It is a very good combo for this heavy formula, a little slow out of the hole but it always was. My 26 bravo popped the rev limiter at around 54-5500 and 73.8 on gps. put a 28 on and was a real dog out of the hole but got 76.5 at just under 5000. I am assuming this thing shouls be propped around 5200 or so.

c-spray what do you spin your motors to. By the way I gave you a wave on monday as you were heading back to tombs, at least I think that was you. By the time I got all un tied from my buddie I didnt see your boat at the dock.
Do your engines hiss badly at idle or do I have a problem with my IAC

Mercruzer - Glad you got that beast going. Yes, that was me around 4:15 or so. You were rafted up to another boat in the middle of the Susquehanna, right? 5200 rpm is the proper RPM, and the limiters are set at 5400. If your IAC runs all the time after the engines are warmed up and out of gear, you may need to adjust your physical idle setting. Idle should be around 750-800 rpm. The IAC will always be engaged when you're in gear.
