The Resin Bucket/ Bravo butt showdown, round 2
3 Attachment(s)
To make a long story short.... This guy and I have had some epic battles offshore in pretty big water with him always creeping away from me in the top gun T/S. Last time we raced he almost ran into me... seemed like on purpose! The guy is a maniac!! Today I was just prop testing with the Gladiator when I found him at the ramp. He has big Blower motors about 1000hp and 3a's and he can talk some smack. Of course I just have little ole hp500efi's and bravos..........
We went offshore and rode around for a little while but I was waiting for the line up. Eventually we got side by side and it was on! Unfortunately it was flat water so I couldnt really kick his *** so I just pulled away..... He didnt like that and he turned around and went in!! Oh well, I cant wait to see him in some big water with Bruce on the sticks...... |

Re: The Resin Bucket/ Bravo butt showdown, round 2
Brett, where do you launch boats around here?
|
Re: The Resin Bucket/ Bravo butt showdown, round 2
I put in at Port Orange ramp under the Dunlawton bridge. Plenty of depth and can jump right on a plane. New Smyrna can be real shallow.

Re: The Resin Bucket/ Bravo butt showdown, round 2
How would I get there coming from Deland?
|
Re: The Resin Bucket/ Bravo butt showdown, round 2
Brett watch the far east ramp i did some pretty bad damage to the paint on the MTI in that ramp. We had 4 guys and still could not hold the boat off the dock in the outgoing tide. Hope you come play in p-3 with us or are you selling the Cig for a different boat. Hope th see ya soon. Bill Mazzoni

Those girls must have a thing for Gladiators. Here they are in Daytona last year with the boat and one of our crew members.

Re: The Resin Bucket/ Bravo butt showdown, round 2
Forget the girls and the Apache' I want a set of those tabs!

Re: The Resin Bucket/ Bravo butt showdown, round 2
It is a 41 Apache it was a world champion in D class called Razz owned by Pete Markey whom later had the 47 apache Little Ceasers Pizza. Bill M we would love to have you in a super stock cat, another race boat was orderd the other day. should be at least 10 boats next year.

The F2-13 is now the F2-96/P3-96 team lapdance boat owned by me. We were in Marathon in may to run F2 and P3 but our weekend was cut short by an unexpected spin and ejection. The water sure is warm there though!!!

Bringin up an oldie but goody... Thought of this thread when I saw RAZZ for sale.............

Now THAT is how to sell a boat!

I have a question, is that white Apache, that was racing in St Clair, Magnum Mark's old boat? I remember his was all white hullsides and a red transom. And he loved these resin bucket threads. :lolhit:

Thanks Roger, I thought so. It really ran nice. The river had a good wind chop on it and the boat wakes, but that boat ran smooth. Is Mark retiring to his Searay?

I agree....rough water, a once popular but now almost shunned aspect of Offshore Powerboating. Don Aronow loved it, and we all know the Powerboat companies that sprang up around it. Now it seems much higher speeds on smaller water is what the consumer wants. Not a bad thing.....just different.

Id rather see the big water, but it wouldn't be a spectator sport, they need the sponsorship and public.
