37 Outerlimits in New Jersey

1 Attachment(s)
Does anybody up in New Jersey know anything about how this boat has been treated, or know anthing about it at all. I am looking at the boat to purchase from an orginal owner. The boat is a 2000 37 Single Step with 850 Sterlings, and #6's.

Does anybody know how the Single Step hull performes?

I dont know anything for sure about the boat but I have heard others say watch out for a boat that has been sitting on a lift or trailer like that! It is not set up for steps and can hurt the bottom! Plus its hanging off the back!

Single Step hull performs beautifully! :p

We have one, plus know a few friends that have or have upgraded to the 42 OL.

What info are you looking for?

The boat looks very familiar, but #6s is throwing me off as to where it is. Where in Jersey is it coming from.

I have spoken to the gentlemen a few times ,if I remember he had the motors rebuilt a few years back by Pat Musi a NHRA drag racer up here in nj,seemed like a good boat, never heard anything bad.

Re: 37 Outerlimits in New Jersey

Yes the checkers start in purple at about mid cockpit and fade to black at the very stern. A little yellow fade around the checkers

Don't know anything about it, but I saw it near my parent's house in Forked River last weekend. Looked good from 10 feet away.

I have also noticed that boat for sale in PowerBoat magazine. It has always been advertised as having 850 Sterlings. I can't see how Musi had anything to do with those motors. Maybe he did other work to it.

Stecz I guess if you show on sunday for the fun run to AC we could shut down one engine so you could keep up,I will have room on my boat for your ladies,we cant have them being seen on your rat there to high profile, but remeber its july now a little skin showing on the girls goes along way for the morale of my crew.

Great call!!! Also the transom is not supported so there is a possibility that the boat started to develop a hook. NOT SAYING IT HAS, but there is a possibility. I was in the lift business for 10 years and the #1 complaint from manufactures was boats not being supported properly. I'll never understand why a lift dealer/installer will not take the time to setup a lift properly. It doesn't take that much time to adjust the bunks to support the transom or build them up to match the steps on the bottom of a boat. But I guess people buying the lifts get what they pay for, spending $300K on a boat then cheaping out and saving a few hundred on the lift. :(

JoeD's Outoflimits is set up on his lift with a custom Aluminum Cradle. Quad step Aluminum cradle. Built by the best of the best.

Re: 37 Outerlimits in New Jersey

enough about joe d... i heard that outerlimits he has is really his old scarab just painted to look like an outerlimits. thats pretty low that a guy has to do that. anyway, the weather is still looking crappy for this weekend, maybe ill just go on joes scarab/outerlimits. thats always a good time, except when we get passed by all those cigarettes, he gets mad when that happens.......

Joe,

What's up with that rooster tail? I was at the Waters Edge on Sunday, the rooster was HUGE!!! Had no idea what the hell was coming towards us. Then I saw it was YOU! I finally got to see her move. Looked good out there! Hopefully we won't be dockwatching next season.

PS - Did Mary sell the Spectre yet? Just kidding.
