Question So how much water was in my oil you might ask???

Check it out. That's a 5 gallon bucket. It was EMPTY when I started. Oil pan holds 8 quarts. That's 2 gallons. The rest was WATER!! I'm guessing that when I get this thing apart, it aint gonna be perty!!!!

Yea, but the oil floats on top. You just had the pickup in the wrong spot!

DUDE!!!! Why didn't you do that MONTHS ago!!! Then you could have filled it with Diesle and maybe saved a bunch of stuff.

ouch, fill the motor with kerosene and let it sit for a couple of days before you tear it apart.

Jon, if there was that much water in there, chances are there wasn't much to save. Has to be an issue with the block if there was nearly 2 gallons of water in my motor from only a few minutes or run time.

Be happy it's not a 1350 Sterling. Think of all the lost cost in Mobil 1.

I hope so, I'd like to salvage the rods, any of the good pistions, valve train, etc.... I'm sure the crank is shot.... it was already .040 under

Rods are most likely seized on the wristpins also. Don't ask me how I know.
