I wouldn't know because I live in FL, but it is the season and I do know it won't be easy. One of these guys will post a place

You could check out the Crystal Point Inn. Or the white sands in Point Pleasant.

The Crystal Point is very close to the Pits and The white Sands is on the beach in Point. Where exactly do you want to be??

Go to www.njoffshore.com, join the mailing list to get all the updates and there's a list of hotels on the site.

Bruce- I'm liking the pit's, but since we, (mommas coming) are bringing our 4 year old daughter the beach may be a good idea.
We're bringing a baby sitter though, so the big kids can go out to play : )
Any racing on Thursday ??

No racing on Thurs. The pits are open on Thurs and the race will start at noon or 1pm on Friday. Make sure your at the inlet to watch the boats run out and the go to Jenkinsons 1/4 mile south to watch the race.

I'll tell ya what I'm gonna due...we'll go to Point, and if we win, then you have to take the cover off of that Teague powered ocean liner and race P4.
Wait..wait...wait.. don't start flapin your wings and clucking just yet. It doesn't even have to be an ocean race, we'll make it in the Hudson river for SBI. You can just leave from your back yard and it would take 15 min. to get there. I'm sure your Super Cat Light World Champion title will come in handy for this. Just remember...when you flip now...you get wet.

Let me preempt the excuses if I may:

Don't want to bust up my boat--- a 40' Velocity can certainly withstand the Hudson river, can't it?
Don't want to beat on my trick Teague motors---Thats what they are for, going fast, right?
I'm not used to racing in an open boat---get some nads
My wife won't let me---get some nads

So the gauntlet is thrown..whadda ya say? ...or are ...you....chicken??? :)

Well it wasn't a World Championship, it was a National Championship. We rolled in the the second race of the Worlds after winning the first race.

Me come out and race P class, I don't think it's gonna happen. Although if I'm in town I'll be down in Point. If you win I'll wash both your's and Scott's boat and get that brown Jersey scum off. If you don't win, well you won't have to do anything other than hang your head and be the shame of the family.

I still say Scott is going to give you a good ol' fashioned spanking.

If I was a betting man I would have to put my money on a Pantera...

Good cop out huh? Good luck to all and be safe! A heads up to all, Bruce might be showing up to the Point with something to prove, after getting his tail whipped in NC lol
