T,
Tom told me about your "incident" this morning. Sorry to hear. I guess he felt pretty bad blasting by you in front of Jacks yesterday. I guess he saw his golden oppertunity to pass you and took it. :D Soon, we'll get together for a fun run... soon! |

Re: Sportmasters Falling Off?
I almost lost this lower, thought somthing had broke, drive oil draining between the upper & lower, it was just the studs backing out. Only had a problem when running with a spacer.

Re: Sportmasters Falling Off?
I lost a lowerunit on my old Checkmate Pulsare/ Mercury 225EFI. Three studs pulled out of the mid section and the casting lip on the LU broke on the last one. I was running low 70s and the boat swapped ends in one boat length. I was thrown down under the dash and bruised up...but luckily nothing worse.
Funny part was, I tried to restart the engine and it wouldn't start. I trimmed it up to take a look and a guy in another boat started screaming my motor was gone........he meant the LU. Worse part, I had a friend's Mercury 28' ET prop that went to the bottom of the lake.....ouch! X-driver |
