wow it has come and gone again, we had 18 boats this year and calm water. could have been a little warmer but some how i still got burnt. I thought i was going to take a bunch of photo's again this year and somehow i didnt. so if anyone else has some photo's to share that would be great.

$1240 was the pot for the best hand, pizza, grinders, pasta and salad was provided by mancino's, personal graphics in petoskey did a great job with the shirts, hats etc.

we had one u-joint go, one engine go, and one power steering pump go, not a good day for equipment (three different boats). i heard rampage was on his way but had trailer trouble, heard that he was in town but not until after the run? i wish we could have hooked up, you could have run with us.

we had i sea plane visit with one of the wives, and another plane fly overhead and take pictures of the flotilla. fireworks were good, party lasted into the wee hours.

Scott,
Looks like you guys had a great time.......When we went to leave home at 3am I noticed a puddle of oil on the floor.It was brake fluid :mad: The center axle wheel cylinder was leaking big time.Didn't want to chance trailering that far without trailer brakes....So we just went back to bed.
My wife has never seen that part of the State,so at 10:00 am we decided to drive up and look around.I had forgotten just how beautiful the northern part of Mi. is....While we were there, we checked out the Venetian fest and still had a good day...Wish we could of somehow hooked up,but I didn't have anyones cell#
Next year we plan on coming up a day ahead....

Scott we had a blast!!!Came up Friday before stayed until this afternoon....the way to go no push to get there no push to get home!!!Best water conditions yet!!Wish I could have run in the front but was babying a vibration....prop I hope... I took a few pics and Jim took a bunch I'll post when he emails them to me. The food in the flotilla was a stretch compaired to the great spred you had last year but the fire works made up for it!!!! Count us in next year!!!!I'll call you guys in August when we are there again!!! Nice to meet Escape and Rocky would have like to talk to the rest of the gang but it was hard to get around in the flotilla. All in all the best day on the water this year!!!!

Dyno, glad to hear it was not you who broke :) That sky shot is great, you were right on the Lake, we had a NE wind and it was great, we were out till 7pm on Sun when the wind whiped around to NW and we has 2-3-4s. Made the ride home fun :) Next year for sure, this year I was just not prepared, I need a few guys to help pay for gas :) The water was 60 and the air 65 but when it is smooth like that it can snow and I am still smiling :)

Thanks to Doug and Laura for organizing this year's memorable event. Even though Lake Charlevoix is our home away from home, we've never ventured as far as Leland or the Manitou islands so it was great to travel with the pack. Sorry we missed the dinner and aerial photo shot of the rafted boats in Round Lake. My wife had to drive back to Battle Creek Saturday night and we also had relatives arriving at the cottage for dinner. We made it back for the fireworks though. Dyno, thanks for topping off my gear lube reservoir!

What a wonderful time it was. We do not get up to the area enough.. I want to thank Doug and Laura for putting it together. I also want to pass a thanks to Yzbert for getting the whole ball going on this a few years ago....thanks Scott....Dwight and crew

Sorry to miss this one, had a great time last year. The Sunsation Rally was the same weekend, always the 3rd weekend in July. A week earlier and 3 of us with Sunsations would have made it, Bayley and Dominator Scott. Hopefully next year we make it back.

Hey gang...this is KAAMA. I'm visiting over at Steve/Rampage's house. Sounds like an awesome time ya'll had. I have been trying to get up there for the fun run for the last couple of years now and haven't been able to make it yet and it has been the kind of boating that I have been wanting to do the most! I have been wanting to go up there more than ANY OTHER PLACE! I am so disappointed that I have missed it again this year. Next year I WILL be there for sure.

Rally was awesome we had a great time. Bayley made it and managed to boat hore on a half a dozen different boats. Sounds like a lot of fun and quite cheaper than owning one, hmm. Anyway the folks at Sunsation treated really well and the weather was great, food was great, and a lot of great folks, 64 boats in all.

Hey Escape Velocity--I'm in Climax, Mi. Yes I said Climax-the town. Where elso do you take your boat? My wife and I go to South Haven, Gull Lake, and anywhere else sounds good. We should hook up and sink a few beers. Going to Coast gaurd festival next week.

Oh ya, I was telling Whitey (Dwight) my wife and I would like to make this run next year. Sounds like a great group.
