I heard the same last week.
The rumor I heard was he went to work for one of the finance companies. When your selling Nor-Tecs you get to know the finance guys real good :drink:

Hey Everybody!

Yes, It is true that I have resigned from Typhoon Performance Marine. I will truely miss what I had helped build. My new job will be Monday - Friday with weekends off. This will enable me to spend more time with my family.

I have accepted a position with ESSEX Credit as Vice President Marine Finance for their NJ office in Point Pleasant (and YES we finance Hi Performance!)

Frank Civitano has accepted an offer from Typhoon starting Aug. 1st.

I have left Typhoon on very good terms and I wish Frank and Bob all the best. I have offered to do anything I can do to help them as well.

I have very big shoes to fill, Dave was the best at it, I also feel that Dave isn't moving on he will be doing our finance work and will always be a big part of Typhoon.
Dave and I are very good friends and if there is anyone I wish the very best for in everything he doe's, Its Dave!
Becoming a member of The NJPPC was one of the best things I ever did in my life, Thats were I met the big guy and almost eveyone on this site.

Hey Dave we have to get together at the Tiki Bar and have to make it official with a toast filled with glasses filled with Jack and Coke. :D

Congrats Dave on the new job. I had just heard from Ron Ross the other day you had left Typhoon and was suprised to hear. Hope all is well with you and the family. Would like to get together for a beer when you get some time..

Congrats to both Dave and Frank! I know for a fact that Frank is overjoyed with his new job. Dave, one of these days, i may take you up on that Tiki bar threat. My mom lives in pt beach 3 houses off of bay ave and my dad lives in the beach too, so im there a LOT. Good luck to both of you guys......

Thank you to everyone for the well wishes for Frank and I.

Frank will kick butt at Typhoon. When I resigned, he was the only person I recommended for the job. He can sell, he knows Donzi's like no other person around and he is sincere and cares about the customer!

I look forward to seeing Frank take Typhoon to the next level!

Thanks for the kind words. After the jack n cokes at the Tiki, we will have to venture south the to Atlantic Bar & Grill to pay a visit to Mike and Jenn behind the bar who makes KICK AZZ jack n cokes!

Hummmmmm maybe an ESSEX CREDIT raceboat in the future? Ya never know :-)

Thanks everyone. Like I said before Dave and Myself made a great team together and its going to feel funny not having him there.
Dave thank you for trust in me, I will do my best to make your legacy live on.
I will carry the tradition like we always have, letting the Customer decide what they want, being helpful but not forceful, caring, lending in with my knowledge of Performance boats and just being as honest as I can be.
You will be missed (But I will always have a liter of Jack and fridge full of coke) so when you stop in we can always kick back and drink a few and talk about old times and new.

Sharkey, I don't know what its going to be like driving 2/10s of a mile to work? Sure beats driving 4000 miles a month.
