38 KV thats a sweet ride, are those 3 or 3A's. What your buddy getting next? With that drive train that boat should sell pretty quick, mine with 775's and 3A's sold in 2 weeks this past spring. Have a good one. Steve

Re: How bought this Apache in NJ?
How much cockpit space is lost with the short stagger? I saw one other Apache with a full stagger and the was absolutely no cockpit. I need room to hang out with the wife and dog.....

Re: How bought this Apache in NJ?
Panther if you want a 36 get one with 3's or 3a's, bravos will be broke all the time. My buddy has a 2002 with xr's and know has to take spares with on ever trip.
These boat are heavy and need good size power to really run, I know I have had a couple of them.38 KV what horse power are those motors and what speeds does she run? |

Re: How bought this Apache in NJ?
Rodger glad you are having such good luck, don't add anymore horsepower.Steve had good luck too till he added the vortech kit. With bigger drive at least you can add horse if you want too. Just my opinion from past ownerhip and watching a friend drop an azzload on bravos in the last month, which included buying a new case rebuilding 2 and buying a brand new one. He also lost one with just the 500's but he was lucky and that one went on merc's tab.

38 KV thanks for the info, I always wondered what it would have take to get my last 36 to the century mark. Mine ran 85 with the 775 NA 600 ci, that's one sweet example of bobby and eric's work.Rodger you the next guy to be getting a concept for florida? I will call if I pass thru the area.Steve

Re: How bought this Apache in NJ?
Bravo's don't scare me that much. I really just cruise anyway. I think it will all depend on $$ what boat I get. If I find one with everything I want that has bravos than I'll get it. If it has SSM than I'll get that one.
But I would rather blow 1 or 2 bravo's than run over a piece of driftwood and ruin $1500+ SSM props. There is tons of drift wood, 55 gallan drums and pilings floating in NYC harbor. The parts for bravos are easy to get and realatively cheap. |
