Thank's for 150mph

Just got back from a great weekend at Lake Havasu..... Blondie and I spent Sat. with Mike Bobbit aboard his brand new 40' Skater with 1400 PFAFF motors (these things are bad a??). At 100mph this boat is not even working hard and at 150mph we still had 1500 rpm before redline!!!! Thanks again Mike see you this weekend.

What's the estimated top speed of that Skater? I guess he will be the new king of the lake!

Skater + Havasu + 150 mph = Very bad things.

Please tell your bud to be careful.

Glad to hear Mike's boat is done and delivered. I wish him the best with the boat, and can't wait to see it sometime.

Re: Thank's for 150mph

Hey Doug, do you return your phone calls!?

Are the motors still de-tuned to 1100's for break in?

Skater is comparing Mikes boat to the Bacardi boat w/same power that runs well over 200mph. That's where skater is getting the #'s from.

Can't wait to get my ride in that thing at the poker run! :D :D

Yo TIT, Yes I got your call sorry no response, I will call later. Arron changed the pullies on Fri night to bump it to 1400hp. After Sat I would say we broke it in........ Great things happen at 150 other than the rush of speed. Girls loose there glasses and tops.

Here's something to think about that will scare the crap out of you....And I'm not using a calculator so I don't want to hear from someone how I'm off by 1/10 of a second...

At 150 mph you're traveling at approximately 225 feet per second

Average perception and reaction time is 1.5 seconds

That equals 338 feet that boat will travel at 150 mph before he even pulls the throttles back to avoid something! Thats a bit scary.

Call me up Doug, I need to talk to you.

I was also in the boat Saturday ... 140 at 5000r's

Mike is not ready to do more than 150 at this time and he knows it ... he's got a big name coming out Thursday for some special one on one Skater training. The boat is off the hook.
