Reworked meaning what? Just more cubic inch, and rpm.

Re: dyno results
It looks like 4800 is a nice sweet spot, nice torque. I am at 4800-5000 depending on the temp of air and water, last weekend at 60deg I was at 5000. What are the drives (gear), props? If I went to a labed 23 I would see around 5200 I think and a solid 82 on GPS, I hit 83 at 46deg( not an average day in July  ), 40kt tailwind and 2ft chop on lake macatawa in April. I see your Torque drops at 5600, I wonder why (I know, don't say it) :) ? I have learned so much with mine, I know engines but this boat has helped me understand them and how to set them up, if I could only afford to set them up with 23s, the cover first and the swim platform. Plus I like the fact I can't over rev them, blow a drive or worse....an engine. :( Parnell, how are the pics doing, don't want to miss a good deal. I could take yours off the Cig. :)

Re: dyno results
the motor are going in a cig bullet with beefed up bravos 1.5 ratio
they started as stock 500 hp mercs and one was blown so a cam change a little head work new wpm intake and new demon 850 carbs I have never seen the hp/tprque curve of stock carbed 500hps if anyone has that I would like to compare Hp was still building at 5600 I would soon run out of carb at any higher rpm I am hoping to be in upper 70 with the bullet its pretty heavy I could run 63 with some tired 365 mags What ratio are your drives? |
