I really could care less. Average Joe can afford a Fountain not an O/L.

Better yet lets see One of those guys build their own motors? Any one with deep pockets can buy a bigger More Hp engine. This race proves Nothing. other than who is willing to risk their lives for an Eggo trip.

It's foolish for either of them to be out there. IF one or both was killed can you imagine what we would all be saying then.

Re: Who's Going to Win?

This contest is a "drag race" against the clock. Probably a lot safer than 200+ MPH Unlimited Hydroplanes racing around an oval course. It's dangerous but safer. Probably safer than some offshore races in inclement weather. I respect both but would like to see Reggie win. Why? Well he offers the 42' Executioner with T-425's for under 200k and financing to make it within reach for the "masses". Why does this matter? Because it keeps the sport alive for those who want a boat of that size at that kind of price-point. It goes 75+ MPH and it's a nice package. Mr. Fiore offers a boat that most can not dream of affording. When Fiore offers a 42' OL for 200 k give me a jingle.

Why are they doing it?

The closest I can come to entertaining an explanation would be to have the same logic applied as to why we are planning to send a spaceship to Mars this Monday. The answer. Human nature. If something is there to be done it's a given somebody will eventually do it. Kind of like going over Niagra falls in a barrel. Defies explanation.

I have to admit it would be funny as hell to see a Skater come flying by both of them when they were racing neck to neck and the guy in the skater just Blow right by them both with a smile.

If the two V's are running anywhere near 175+, which I expect them to be ... There aren't very many Skaters out there that will blow right by them.

And about the Skater V .... other than the red one, do they really exist?

My Vote is for "Fountain".

I respect both boats, will probably never own either. Personally I think Overlimits is way over priced.

At the Miami boat show we were 2 of only 4 people in the Outerlimits booth and there were four of them and they did not even acknowledge we were there. They make you feel like they are way above the average Joe out there. Glad they can get big dollars for their boat, just not from me.

Go Fountain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
