That one time at LOTO late at night, we could have run WFO. There was a full moon out and the water was like glass. You could see very well. Not endorsing it, just that that there was this one time...

Eyezlee, so true.
However, I am about 500 yds. through trees from the cut/area I heard this boat. I also heard it accelerate(sp?) at least twice in 30-60 seconds. I definitely think it was close to WFO!

Unfortunately, at some point we may read who it was in some newspaper headline or some tv news broadcast.
Down here I take it real slow at night, especially on the Intracoastal, the water is just too shallow. I've run up on a sand bar once, spent five hours waiting for the tide to change to get my first boat off. Both props were totally out of the water. No damage, just a long wait. Probably looked a little stupid also. Boat completely out of water leaning hard to the right. Oh well, lesson # 2,435,678..........................

Used to go to Lantern Inn all the time for Sunday Breakfast---best damned country ham in GA---I kinda do miss Lanier after all
