I don't think financial advisors have ever push boats as a good investment.

Boats, planes, cars and women are all liabilities. They all require mucho $$$$ to have even if you do not use them.

If it flies, F**ks or Floats lease it!

My buddy has an exotic muscle car business and his sales suck. People are calling for him to take their cars off their hands creating a real glut on the current market.

This is the most boats I have seen OSO for sale IN THE MONTH OF JULY! There will be a lot more in a few months.

End of summer in sight yes, but even worse the end of a wet and cooler than normal summer in alot of places, which don't leave folks too excited about how much use they got out of that hole in the water this year. Bad (scratch that) no investment at all!! Even a worse loosing proposition when it doesn't get used...alot.

Just remember, all it takes is the right person. I didn't even have my 1999 35 classic for sale and yet I sold mine right here on the OSO Fountain thread. Just a few weeks ago I saw where an OSO member was looking for a clean 35. I had been thinking about moving up to a bigger boat for some time so I emailed him some pics. He loved it - we came to terms on price - and he drove it away last Sunday.

I guess the key was that it had knockout graphics and looked like a new boat. It sure pays to buy a great looking boat and take care of it. My guess is that Plain Jane boats are going to be a hard sell in this mkt unless you give them away.

And a big HATS OFF to OSO for creating this forum where boaters can get together. If not for OSO, I'm and sure that I wouldn't have even considered selling my boat, much less have sold it so quickly. It sure made the decision to renew my membership a little easier

Thats right, there are way too many "Good Deals" to be found out there. Unless your boat is in that good deal range plan on keepin it for a while.

And if you are trying to sell a used Formula forget it. Formula with their 0% financing have crushed the resale Formula's

I have the boat priced below book value and offering "or best offer"......

I'm willing to work with people on price, but someone needs to show some interest.
