I just saw on the news that the Coast Guard has beefed up patrols. Noone is allowed within 100 yds of the coast line of Manhattan. They will be boarding boats at random looking for safety equipment and anything else they can find.

Isn't it wonderful what terrorists have done to our way of life? :(

I remember back in the 80's, in Paris, France, the police roamed the streets armed with automatic weapons and stood guard outside of restaurants and anyplace people gathered in large numbers.
Terrorists did that to them back then. Now it's happening here. :mad:

F that!!! I still plan on making a trip around to the Atlantic this Saturday.
Which takes me right down the East River. :D

I'll let you know what they pull me over in.

On Monday I went to LaGuardia w/ the kids to watch the planes land.
There was one boat that was real close, and had the police RIB pulled up along side. I just stay about 100yrds from them.
I ran by them later... I just saluted, they waved back.

I just gotta remember to leave the turban home.

Went down the East River on Sunday. Other than a couple NYPD boats around the UN and South Street it was no problem.
