Eliminator 28' Daytona?????

Alright Eliminator owners and others, please chime in. After Magic gave me a little ream job, I am looking at the 28' Daytona with twin 496HO.

I have known Eliminator owners and their loyalty and I am looking for that in my boat builder.

Why does my neighbor say he would never buy an Eliminator? Is it the same old Ford v. Chevy arguement or does anybody have any good reason for or against. Of course he owns a Magic which I would now never buy.

I really need help here as I have little Eliminator experience.

Eliminator builds a great boat! twin 496HO's in that boat should put you in mid 90's for speed. I would not think twice about buying an Eliminator over a Magic Cat.

Can't go wrong with an Eliminator...their crew, their quality, their ride, all top notch!!! I wouldn't go anywhere else...

I rode in a 28 eliminator at the miami show last year. Great ride. If i were looking at 28 cats it would be between that and skater. I have only heard good things about the boats and company.

When I received my new eliminator I had some minor problems with it & was worried that Eliminator would not step up to the plate. My worries were unfounded since Eliminator took care of problems without question.

I have friend that has a 28 & I am looking at upgrading to one.

I had a 25 daytona and it was a great boat. My only complaint is that the deck flexes when you walk across it in comparison to my new spectre. You will not find better paint and gel work anywhere. P.S. I am working a deal on a new boat and am looking to sell my spectre. 2003 30 Spectre, twin 496 H.O.'s, XR drives with brand new sportmaster shortys, new P5X Hydomotive 5 blades, Grafik EFX Paint, XM stereo with 2 subs and 2 amps,Tripple axle Performance trailer with toolbox, a legit high 90's boat, and the best part yet is 5 years of Mercury warranty on motors and drives. Let me know if your interested. Good Luck! oh yeah, freswater only, 100 hours, and never in the water overnite.

I have driven and riden in a few eliminators and like them only been in one 28 twin.
Only reason I went with the Advantage 28 is they have ALOT more room down below in the cabin. :) Gotta love the stretch and stabbin room :drink:
Cockpit area seems and feels like more usable space.
If interested mine is for sale :)
Let me know if yu would like more info

Gotta love them Eliminators. I am on #2, the first being a 28 with twin hp500's and a 36 with 500's. Here's some pic's along with the new 28 with canopys for 2004.

NORTECH, Canopies are not available on a 30 Spectre unfortunately. I am having some computer upgrades made today and will post some pictures of the boat. If you look through GLH's post about his milk run you can see some pictures of the boat. Thanks for your interest. Chuck

Had a 28, loved everything about it except sleeping on it. at 6'4" it just didn't work. You can't beat the gel and paint and it went thru the water great. Good luck.

Eliminator has a great looking boat. The gel is some real eye candy. I've personally seen some spotty rigging from them though. I've also seen some perfect rigging. It's my understanding that Eliminator's are rigged at two different shops. One does sloppy work, the other's work is excellent. You need to be certain that your boat is going to the right shop. If you are looking at Eliminators, you should also consider another west coast builder, DCB. I've never heard anything negative about them. Summer Obsession just bought a used one. He could offer some first hand insight.

You are right about thier two shops
the secind one is in Havasu. Very small shop, most everything is done outside :(
What I have seen between the two shops is that I would not wnat anyhitng coming from the Havasu doors :(

As far as DCB goes, they are top notch. Only complaint that I have about them is they copy eliminator. When they first started they were the premier rigger for Eliminator. Then they went out on their own. It amazes me how similar the hulls are between the two :(
Maybe not so much now, but back then<<<<<>>>> it was apples to apples.

nortech, i know chuck, i would not hesitate to buy from chuck. he ranks right up there with shane when it comes to keeping his stuff nice, actually i think they both over do it at times, more time waxing than playing.

DCB really stands for "Dave's Copied Boats". Their mach26 is a spitting image of a 25 daytona. He also used to be an eliminator dealor and then got a hold of a few eliminator molds which he used to start DCB with.
