With twin 280s you might run 80's. Not for sure though. You can do some port work and other mods to get those 280's to push over 300 on the Dyno. Then you might run faster. Twin 300 Pro maxs have the Torque.

Re: 32 Skater?
Have 32B with triple pro max's that runs over a lot of ugly water at 70/80 mph that a 28 really struggles with. Runs 110 /112, gps, with 1/2 fuel load and two people. Can get faster with light load and right conditions. Have to keep an eye on water pressure on center motor, top end but no problems otherwise. I think the center motor gives you a lot more than a few mph on the big hull and definitly gets you over a 100 in a hurry. Insurance in high 3's.

If you go 32 Skater, inboards all the way!!!
Buying a Skater and looking to cruise at 85 MPH is not very practical, your going to be in the porpoise most of the time around that speed. Your going to find that you will be traveling at speeds of under 60 or over 90. Theres no way around the porpoise, it is the nature of the beast at least with inboards, I have never been in a 32 with outboards. Tabs help alittle but not as much as one would hope. Porpoising down your local water way sucks. The 32 with twin 525's should run around 110+, that works great if you ask me!!! Find one with #6's and a power upgrade down the line will be much easier on the pocket book considering all the drives you could go through if the boat was rigged with bravo style drives.
