Re: Kilo Time!!!! Outerlimits vs Fountain
i am surprised XXX would show up at all to represent outerlimits when bob russells outerlimits put a beatin on it just a few weeks ago in a poker run in RI, talk on the dock was it broke the 180 mark, surely OL knew reggie would come with his best, why not have their best or fastest boat present? maybe russell didnt feel he had to throw down $35K for braggin rights, i'm sure the show down will happen soon. personally i'm all for each manufacturer with sealed 575s.

Re: Kilo Time!!!! Outerlimits vs Fountain
So it seems more and more OL showed up with a boat that was not sorted out. Hmmmm. What a time to fumble the ball. But for all the ugly bs this year it would be a "oh well" now it's "duh, how do you blow it like that?"

No there you go!!!
Mike Fiore is a stand up guy afterall now isn't he folks?
Quoted by Mike Fiore:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To Reggie...
On behalf of myself and everyone at Outerlimits, I would like to congratulate you on your new world record kilo run. I know that this significant accomplishment undoubtedly required the dedication and cooperation of the entire Fountain team. There is no doubt that this speed record will be spoken of for some time to come.
Please accept my heartiest congratulations on raising the bar by posting a new record and giving us all a mark to shoot for.
Regards,
Mike Fiore

Re: Kilo Time!!!! Outerlimits vs Fountain
Maybe I am just a dick who wont let a dead dog lie but I want to know what happened to OL. Congrats and nice words are great but I drove a fairly long distance to see the promised shootout. I feel the least we deserve is an explanation to why the no show. Enough of the rumer's......I feel we all deserve to hear the real story...

I am a big fan of Outerlimits and thought they would win easily - but if what you say is true, that they left due to a business decision, it must bean its bad business to lose. Maybe that gps was thrown off a cliff or on a jap bike flying down the hi-way! Good news for me, I only need half the money now to buy a fountain......thats faster!

Re: Kilo Time!!!! Outerlimits vs Fountain
all of you know how important setup is on a race boat rite? It takes lots of testing to get it rite OL did not have that time. Bob Russels boat is brand new. It was rigged in 7 days some testing was done with his old engines, at almost the last minute they decided to use Racecrafters engines. With only days to install and test they did not get the setup rite. The boat would only go 150 they new they needed more like 170. No engines failed no boat failed only time ran out. But now they have the time to get it rite!!!
