HRPA poker run - Best "Offshore" PR ever
Saturday was the day for the HRPA poker run. There were about 62+ boats. Of all the boats that I saw, numerous ones stood out:
A beautiful 43 Nortech, also a 50' Nortech F1 Superboat Numerous Cigs 4 PowerQuests 3 Donzi's 3 or 4 Black Thunders A 37 AT AVH A few Baja's Numerous Formulas A few Fountains and more, just can't remember them all. Anyone that wanted to find out how thier boat performed in different types (Offshore) of water found out Saturday. The winds all day Fri were blowing 25-30 out of the north, and Saturday 12-15 NW. The Chesbay and Ocean was rough. Typical Chesbay washing machine. The ocean still had 4' to 6' swells from either Hurricane Alex or the wind from the previous day. Add that with the wind blown chop and you have some really "interesting" water. Randy will have some good pics soon. I saw some of the "air" pics. Some are unbelievable. There was alot of money raised for the St. Jude Childrens Hospital (The amount is unknown yet) so it is a very good cause. I think there are some sore folks out there this morning. Anyone that wants to get into the fun should register for the Waxing Frenzy PR that will be here in 2 weeks. This will be a BIG event. It is a Poker Runs America sponsored event. There will be race teams here. as well as some really big names in the boating industry. I know these folks will be here: Kieth Eikert, Lavey Craft, Velocity, Livorsi, Poker Runs America (get your boat in the magazine) and many race boat teams. Maybe "Frenzy Kim" will chime in with more info about this big ticket affair. |

Wow...that's a great contribution guys! Hats off to HRPA and everyone involved in pulling the event together. Sorry we missed it; we were in NC for the SBI race. Hopefully, you'll post some more pics.
We are getting confirmation from our various manufacturers as to how many boats they are bringing and when they are due to arrive. I'll post that info as soon as I get it. Thanks for your support, Bill! |
