Best of luck to ya. You will NEVER get that info from them. When I was dealing with my Saab issues they would not give me any of that info. They work now STRICTLY for the dealers. You have to hope you have a good dealer as I did and it eventually went better then I expected. However I NEVER got to talk to them.

I had a GM issue with a Chevrolet engine. I remember a while ago calling the GM Tech center in Warren, MI and asking for Chevrolet zone management. They connected me to a secretary and I explained my several attempts at fixing a problem at a dealership. The zone manager made an appointment to meet me at the dealership, review the problem and fixed it correctly. They extended my warranty another 12 months and everything worked out fine.

It all depends on who you know. If there happens to be a zone rep or a GM big wig here on OSO it would definety be a big plus. Personelly I never had any luck with them but the dealer may be reluctant to have a zone rep involved with a particular situation. I'm trying to help out another OSO member and the situation is a tricky one.
Audiofin, this member is close to you. Would you happen to have a spare engine to get this dude going for the last few weeks we have left?

He bought the 1st engine and it blew up shortly after. Bought the 2nd as a replacement and had the same problem as the 1st. Seems like there is a clearance issue in #5. Looks like there may be a bad batch of crate motors from GM.

What dealer did they come from? I know you said that he got them from a garage or what ever but they must have gotten them from a dealership. Go deal with that dealership.

that should be a type b warranty issue and can be handled through the parts dept of the dealer your working with.. should be a joint issue with parts and service??? my parts rep said they may have to tear it down to find the cause..

The so called "dealer" is an unauthorized dealer. He called GM directly and was told that being this dealer was not authorized, they will not warranty the engine. I'll try to find out more info but this so called "dealer" is a shyster!
