Re: Signature 38
MrCig,, KAAMA, you guys seem to know a fair bit about boats in your area, back when,,, how many 38's Sig's do you remember running around the Chicago area back in the 80's?? the reason I ask, I'm trying to find out anything I can about my boat.. this boat raced in the Chicago area in the eighties. don't know under what name? the boat was stolen and stripped of it's eng's and drives, it did have kaama's on it, also the serial #'s were drilled out on the transom, the local state dept issued it new serial #'s , they say it's a 79 but ?????it looks more like a earlier model??? the previous owner purchased it in Chicago in the late eighties and hasn't touched it until last year, that's when I bought it. I'd sure like to find out more about this boat if possible, its colour is Signature silver grey, blue and red, looks original. regards Al

I know of two 38's in the Chesapeake Bay area. Mine and another one that I think is waiting to be restored.
Stay tuned for more stories about our peerles and inmitable Signature boats, their intrepid and sometimes strident owners, and.....well, I'm not sure. I just ran out of big words.

Re: Signature 38
Anyone put big power (1000hp+ a side) to the 38.
Curious at what speeds they would run????
Best speed I got out of my 28 with three 2.4 clamp ons was
79mph.
