Oso Swipes

1 Attachment(s)
While on the river, Ittlfli, Kbt74, & Cdf5 (FA Racing) gave me a can of these things to try out. I was a little skeptical at first, but I was totally amazed how well these things worked. They cleaned my transom grime and that nasty Ohio River scum line amazingly well. My wife liked how she could use them to clean the inside of the boat and she said they did a great job.
I also liked how I could use them to clean my hands. Some of the junk I have used to clean my boat with is not friendly to your skin, just read the labels on some of those products. I can cut two or three liquid products out of the cleaning stuff I haul around now. After using these SWIPE things, I have found that I can leap tall building with ease, fly faster than a speeding bullet (can’t beat Donzi’s though), and stop freight trains. My wife loves my increased sexual stamina and youthful staying power! Even my hair has started to grow back. If you haven’t tried SWIPES you need to soon, your wife will love you long time and your kids will be very proud of the super Dad you have become!
Thanks to the FA racing guy’s for letting me try these things, and for spanking my a$$ in that friggin fast 22’ Donzi Classic. LOL!

WT, welcome to the fold! Thanks for sharing your Swipes experience. Swipes ARE an amazing product. I would never have believed how well they worked either. Seeing is believing, right? We are very glad you were pleased with your end results. Please let any of us know if you have any questions regarding Swipes, Boat Shield or Avalanche. Danny D, JTMiller02 or I will be glad to help. Thanks again!

Re: Oso Swipes

MNFastBoat - the shopping cart can't tell how much something weighs when you combine two different products. Looks like we have to offer a combo pack so that shipping will be accurate. We are working out all the bugs. Please give me a call and I will give you a ship quote. 610.539.3295 or my cell: 610.937.2072. We don't charge a handling fee either. We understand, who wants to buy a $18 or $16 product and have shipping costs more than the product itself. Call or email me your zip and I will take care of the shipping issue and manually place your order.
Sorry about that. Thanks!
Dan Dillon

MN, I just talked to Danny. The shopping cart on the website doesn't recognize that two different products can be shipped together. Please give Danny a call for an accurate shipping cost. You can reach him at 610-539-3295. Thanks for letting us know you had a problem.

NOW That is what I call SERVICE! :drink:

thanks to everyone, Ang, OSO and Danny D :)

I am sorry if I came off too strong in the previous post, but thought it needed to be said :blaster: Shoot myself for being too bold and not thinking to speak in a better manner

I called and placed my order for one bottle of Boat sheild and one container of Swipes :)

MN, your satisfaction with the product is our goal. We appreciate your letting us know and giving us the opportunity to work with you to get your Swipes and Boat Shield. Please give us any feedback you may have. Thanks again for your order!

Re: Oso Swipes

Not that I've ever gotten my hands dirty at a race site, But I got the chance to use Swipes at the Reggie race. These things really do a great job, especially out in the field, in the pits, at the dock or anywhere there is no sink available.
Simply put, these things work!
Thanks for letting me try them. Will y'all be at the Orange Beach race?

Hey Mike, what are you doing online? Get back to work on B-Nauti. HA! Just kidding. We will be there tonight! YAHOO!!!!!

I love the Swipes too. Mike if you need any while you are working on the Baja...they are in the cuddy on the floor!!!

Ange 08-13-2004 09:15 AM

Re: Oso Swipes

I don't think so Gordo. Our understanding of the race layout was that it was very spread out and I would be the one going and trying to make sure everyone is covered. I got the impression that things are so spread out that there wouldn't be one good central location for us to set up. If any of you know of a good spot, let us know, we would need to make arrangements soon.

Gordo, did you set up your Redi-link yet? :D

Re: Oso Swipes

We absolutely love the product. Thats why we are a distributor. They work great and Dan is working on even more products for us to carry. You should be the first on your block to have these. Go to the website and see if there is a distributor in your area and get yourself some Swipes and some Boat Shield!!!!

Re: Oso Swipes

I guess I missed the story behind the swipes when this stuff was introduced. I am a little confused on the marketing of the products. Do we buy it through OSO, a distributor, or Dan. Ange are you also a distributor?? Does it cost the same no matter who you buy it from.

jtmiller02 08-13-2004 11:20 AM

Re: Oso Swipes

If you have a local dist. then the best thing is to buy it from them, hopefully saving you the cost of shipping. If you can't find someone close to you, then you can get it from Dan or from OSO. Your cost will be the same either place and the service will be top notch, plus you will be getting the same great product.

Re: Oso Swipes

Ms.PY, I worked with these guys in Washington and Danny and I think that there are several opportunities for Swipes in my area. We are going to see how it goes and I will be available to help at every race I can. I had a great time working with them and it truly is an amazing product. Just ONE Swipe removed a waterline the lenth of one of the boats in Washington. It was unbelievable. If you don't have a local distributor, please give Danny a call so that he gets your shipping handled properly.

Re: Oso Swipes

I just left a message for Danny, being a sales person I can't help but wonder how this all works.
Since I sell filters for a manufacturer and my customers are distributors it got me thinking about the marketing. Also do all the cannisters say OSO or just the ones bought from Steve. Sorry curious minds want to know :D

Re: Oso Swipes

Danny just called, what a nice guy. I was surprised to hear that he just introduced them at the NY run. I have met several people at poker runs that have recommended the wipes so word is traveling fast. I am sure this is an exciting time for him, launching a new product will sure keep you hopping. I will have our wipes soon, and will have a chance to use them next weekend, so I will fill you in on my experience, I can only hope it is as good as Wild Things :woohoo:

kbt74 08-13-2004 01:09 PM

Re: Oso Swipes

We are trying to move these products all over the us. So the more distributors we have the better exposure we will have. We had a lot of people come up to our booth during the Cincy poker run, and tell us that they have heard about the Swipes. So we are getting some brand recognition, and this is only the beginning.

hummm
maybe a distrubitor is needed in Minnesota :)

I would only assume these work on cars and motorcycles as well?

Thinking here

Re: Oso Swipes

Spoke with Danny for a while last night on the phone and looking to pick up the products here in Pittsburgh. Cant wait to get ahold of them to start moving them. To answer the question above, you can use them on anything that gets dirty or greasy. Dont have to limit the use to just boats.

Re: Oso Swipes

HEY, the shiznit really works. Danny busted me stealing a pile of samples at the NY Poker Run and said take the whole container and use what ever you want. Once I started wiping the seats down, I cleaned the whole cockpit and cabin. I was having fun.

My recommendation all the way.

Mike, I don't know if the Swipes crew can handle another Jersey weekend so soon! By the way, I dropped off some pics at the Rio Roses RV in Washington. Did you get a chance to see those?

Re: Oso Swipes

They work UNREAL for getting off the Diesle fuel stain on the truck :D:D

Not so good at getting off the stains from the little hellicopter stains that areleft on the boat when tree out front drops them.

I am very happy with mine. What they do they do VERY well.... They are on my boat as we speek.

Re: Oso Swipes

I'll also chime in and say how great these things are. And the best part is that they are space saving and simple to use ( No more looking for the Spray bottle and a clean rag !!) And when you are done with the (heavy duty) plastic container, you can use it to store stuff in.

I also became a distributer for the Philly/NJ area. :)

Ange 08-18-2004 07:33 AM

Re: Oso Swipes

Jon, don't park the boat under that tree!

Re: Oso Swipes

They are great! I purchased swiped at the Atlantic City race and since it seems i spend more time working on my boat then running it they have most useful item on the boat.

Thank you everyone, including all of our SWIPES dealers, for your positive feedback! Thank you for your business and your warm welcome toward us as we entered into the marine business just 13 weeks ago. All of you have extended an opportunity for us to introduce our new product line and prove ourself. Without all of you, we wouldn't be where we are today.
Thanks again for everything!
