Default Pontoon Boats-Is this a good deal?

My In-Laws are looking to buy a pontoon boat for their house @ the shore and they looked at a 2000 Starcraft 22 footer today. The old pontoon was old and got donated to charity a few months ago.
This boat has a 60HP Mercury Bigfoot outboard and is in excellent shape (per the In-Laws). The seller wants $8000 for it and will do a compression check and sea trial and also give a 3 month warranty on the engine.

Is it a good deal?

Thanks in advance,
Craig

Craig, it sounds like they have their price range already aligned and like this used one. If this falls through, let me know, and I will put you in touch with DocmanRich37 (on OSO) down at Lake Anna. (Owns the blue 37 AT.) He sells Playbouy Pontoons, and they are SUPER sweet. I mean, really nice. I think he has some used inventory too.

Thanks Brian,
Money is not an issue (for them ) I talked them out of buying a new one. I'm just trying to find out if Starcraft is like the Bayliner of Pontoon boats or anything like that.

That is what I first thought when you said starcraft. The only I can think of is the cheesy little pop-up campers POS they make.

A good friend of mine just put his up for sale. It's a 1998 27' Suntracker Pontoon. It's listed on the boat trader

Sure, sure, sure. That's like when I went to the doctor to ask him about "a friend of mine's" erectile dysfunction.

Default Sounds Expensive for what you describe.

What year? Sound a little high for a donated boat.
