Thumbs down 1000 Islands Poker Run...Fun and EXPENSIVE!

Hot Boat and I had BLAST a the run. Boat ran GREAT all day! One motor was a little shy on RPM's but didn't pay too much attention thinking probably the tach as all other gauges were A OKAY. Get back to ramp to pull boat out, starboard motor has no reverse. Oh well, thinking maybe not too big of a deal, pull boat out, gear case and mid section CRACKED BIG TIME! Bearing carrier backed out, blow out ring damaged prop, but all still in tact. No oil left in drive at all. So now I am in the market for 2 new mid sections and gear cases. Time to upgrade to offshore housings and sportmaster lowers. So if anyone has a lead on these items priced right please let me know.

Shane, did they just let go from high speed or did you hit one of those large pretty big bolders just under the surface?

Just let go. Boat ran GREAT ALL DAY! Didn't even know it until reverse didn't work when putting boat on the trailer. When we got up on land the damage was obvious.

Curtis,

Mid sections are tightened after and before each use. This was a bearing carrrier failure.

Good luck getting her back together.

Been "shopping" here on OSO and elsewhere already. Sorry we missed you too. Glad we made it back without breaking down and you had a good time too.
