Re: Who got Top Gun at LOTO?
The radar gun was screwed up on Saturday so some of the speeds were up to 35 mph off. Sunday I saw Bacardi silver make a pass at 184 mph and have not heard of anything faster yet.

Thought Miss Bud was NOT to run exhibition runs this year?
Thought she was a normally entered contestant?

Re: Who got Top Gun at LOTO?
I did not stick around for the awards, so these are unofficial
Miss Bud -198 exhibition run
Bacardi Silver - 187 (2nd to last run on Sunday) - Top Gun 2004
Callan - broke a rudder on Saturday, no Sunday run
Radar speeds on Sunday were higher than Saturday (about 15%). At the drivers meeting Sunday morning they said that they repositioned them, but did not recalibrate any of the 3 radars.

Yeah the Radar Saturday was a joke. They tried to say Calan only ran 170 something on Saturday. Their GPS was on 206. Bacardi ran 174 in the afternoon, but was clocked at 163.
It really looked like a scam. They had a $150 no refund fee to contest your speeds. Funny how everyone came in 10-15 mph off.
I ran 89 Saturday according to both of my GPS's. They clocked me at 78.

Just ask Parnell.
The track isn't that long. I think it would be tough to get the Saber dialed in before you ran out of room. You also end up waiting anywhere from 1-2 hours (or more) at the starting gate to make your pass.
The crowd tied up watching is enormous. I mean ENORMOUS. The center console might be more fun. Major all day party at Shooters with tons of killer boats to check out.
You literally get on plane, and nail it. It's all relative though. The faster you can go, the less time you have to tinker with the trim (unless you have turbines, Mr. Calan )
