Pissed off- New owner no where to be found
Been working with a guy to purchase my boat, he has a survey, survey comes back more then what I am asking. Tells me he will have financing with in 1 week. (That was 4-5 weeks ago) I send off all necessary paperwork to his bank, also to 3rd party titling company. Everything is a go. He calls me every day to let me know it will be the next day. Then starts working on transport since his tranny took a crap in his truck. Then tells me the bank is taking forever and it should be in a few more days. Another week goes by, I finally get in touch with him, since he does not have voice mail or any way to reach him other then his cell phone. This past Monday, he says he spoke to bank and all will be set by 5:00 PM that day and he will be coming down at the end of the week with his truck. So, I let a couple days go by then call my bank to see if loan has been paid, nope. So, I wait until yesterday, still no pay off so I call his lender and he tells me that they are still waiting on him to submit the paperwork for the titling company. Apparently, he does not want to pay the few hundred dollars and had told the lender he would look for his own titling company. I'm thinking, hell for $300. or so I'll cover that if thats the show stopper. Anyway, still no way to contact him this week and the more I think about selling my boat to this guy I'd rather keep it. It is too hard to find this much boat for this price anywhere. BTW- I did not get a deposit, since I figured I was contacted by his lender and did not fell it necessary. It just amazes me how people can go shopping for a boat and waste someones time. Whats irionic is I tried talking him out of it because I didn't feel he had enough experience to purchase a 90+mph boat. Oh well, just venting... BTW- here is the link to my boat- http://server1.offshoreonly.com/geoc...php?a=2&b=1460

Always get a deposit. You need him to have some skin in the game.
Was the guy's name Brett Hartley? You know how those lawyers can be.

All is you can do is stay positive and friendly to keep your deal together. At least you have action on your rig. Some people are just goofy.

The guy is probably just scared of a boat that will go 100mph with a little dial in work......
