No offense taken Tank - that's not my Fountain ( however, mine's about the same size ). The observation about the 'clean water' is valid however. I wasn't IN the run, but started outside Queen's Gate after the pack went off. Worked my way to almost mid-pack by the Avalon card stop, but there was NO clean water in sight.
That was a GREAT run - which boat were you in ? ?

Gerrard (SemperFi) and I were on the Green/Yellow Tiger. Jim Neely's old boat now owned by Tim w/new Teague 1000's on 6's. Ran 90-95 all the way out there and we started near the back of the pack, got hairy getting through the confused water at the start. :eek: :drink:

And we saw that Fountain later in the day, it sounded healthy! Look at it closely, it's a trippy boat. Racing bolsters, straight bottom, no swim step and check out how the deck is raised higher than usual from the rub-rail. It's one of Reggies originals before all the step designs.

Yeah, I noticed those things earlier. That's an older SWEET-lookin boat. I'm thinkin' that if she wasn't actually running toward the front of the pack, the shot was taken real early ( also judging by the heavy overcast that burned off relatively quick ), when the boats spread wide at the start, looking for clean water to run in. . . wish I could have found some, that side-to-side slop got real sketchy at times. . .
