Go to the Hot Boat forums and search magic. You will find some not so nice things said about their business philosophy.

Here are the pictures of the Magic Powerboat I mentioned above. This is sitting on US 24 hwy in Independence,MO. Does anyone know any history of this boat????? I know it has been there for at least 3 years.

Sorry to see some have had a bad experience with the Manufacturer. Im just curious regarding this particular boat.

They are located in LHC AZ and make a pretty good boat. Their new deck boat is very popular. A few have had some issues with them, but who hasn't? I don't recogize the the pic of anything they are currently making.

That is cool!!!
I didn't know Magic ever built something like that.
I would post this pic on HotBoat.net and see who knows what.
Throw a couple take out merc's in that bad boy and load up the coolers!! :drink: :drink:

I bet you wouldn't see many of those on LOTO!

They make a pretty boat. The owner however is a complete A-HOLE. Terrible ethics. He doesn't deserve my dollar.

I had one one on order that had serious blemishes in the gel-coat. Their method of fixing it was unacceptable. They went against their promise to duplicate my design, before mine came out of the mold. Ron Moyes told me that he would duplicate my design again and told me, "I don't care that you are unhappy, all I care about is getting my 20k down and building the boat."

I walked and am now getting an Eliminator Daytona that will blow away both boats I designed for Magic. Bob Leach and his daughter Brandie have made me a family man.

Never touch a Magic! If you have the slightest disagreement, Ron Moyes will kick you out of the building. It has happened to two friends of mine. Do your research. Hotboat.com has a lot on Magic. More since I broke my story.

Great luck!

I don't know anything at all about Magic, but I really like the looks of that boat.

I know he was inquiring about the specific boat. I am not going to let Magic off the hook. Not until the bar is raised for all builders. Everyone should care what kind of hole he is. One day a friend of yours just might mention interest in a new boat. We need him to be educated.

Not my style boat, but looks cool.

Re: Magic Powerboats

My sister's dad got a brand 34' Sorcerer in like '93 or '94. Whenever they came out. I pulled the boat down with him. Initially the props were SOO off that they blew every time he went to get on plane. Then he worked around it and managed just at 80mph. Also, boat came with dead batteries  It was the 2nd or 3rd one out of the factory. I like the looks and especially the look of the new 34' and 44' cat they have out, but ultimately he had to send the boat back. As far as I know he just had SOO many issues with it and hopefull he made out alright and they took care of him

Re: Magic Powerboats

It appeared to be around 30-34' in length and approx 12-14' beam, I didnt step it off or have an opportunity to get inside the locked fenced area. The stern is cut for 2 outdrives. No telling what kind of shape the deck or interior is in. I just thought it was a pretty cool looking boat that has been sitting for a few years.
As Summer O said........It would be an interesting LOTO boat and hopefully there would not have to be much if any contact with the suspect owners of Magic Powerboats.
Thanks for all the input.

Lutz I believe that boat sat at Offshore Marine when the IRS locked the doors. It had stickers from the a bank on it when Supreme took over. Call John at Supreme and he should know the details of the boot. There was a different Magic a few years back in Independence/Lee Summit that had US Marshall stickers all over it.
