That seems a bit high for a 03, considering the probs they had in 03.

If Im not mistaken...you can get one brand new for 37 and change.

I test drove the first 05 they had at Deland Ford a couple weeks ago. The 05 is quite an improvement over the 04, and light years ahead of my 02 7.3. The main thing I like is they changed the front suspension to coil springs. Now it rides smoother, but more importantly turns sharper. This crew cab will out turn my supercab. The list was around $46k, Lariat package.

I had him down to 43 without really chewing on him hard. He was offering a pretty fair trade for my 02 also.

A PLAIN 4x4 WORK TRUCK WITH A REGULAR CAB IS AROUND $38,000.

This truck was well into the $40's when it was new.

Diesels are had to come buy in this neck of the woods, so I had to pay a ton to get it. We sell every one within a week or so.

which motor is in the 2003...it was available with either the 7.3 or the 6.0 depending on the production date ?

Re: Diesel F250 WOW!!!

that truck would wholesale at Manheim Auto Auctions in the $29-$31K area...Galves wholesale book value is approx $24000. They are extremely good merchandise and as you can see are selling for $5-$7 K over book at the auctions. A deal on the truck would be like $31-$32K

I go to San Antonio on occasion for business, and yes, they are right. TX is full of trucks, lots of PSD Fords. I normally go test driving when down there. They had '05 Ford SDs on the lots last month.

That's exactly what my buddy paid for a new 04 in February. He flew to NY to buy the truck. Unfortunately, two weeks later, he was towing a trailer with the wrong size ball. :(

Yep, that is the issue with the '03's . . most diesel guys know of the troubles that they had and will shy away from them.

With the rebates you are right, but as I mentioned before we sell these 3 or 4 of these trucks a month and we have been getting $33-35K for them.

Sold an 03 F250 Crew Diesel lariat with 5,000 miles last week to a guy in Jersey for $34,900.

Who knows anymore.

Galves is 25,700 on my truck. It would sell somewhere around $32,000 at Manheim. The book is wrong. They base the used value of what it should be worth due to the cost of buying a new one. In reality the value of anything should be based off of what people are willing to pay. (Which is in the mid to low $30's for my truck)

I sell 100's of cars and trucks every year, and althogh I am not always right, I have a very accurate mind for the Used & New auto market.

I started this thread to let my OSO family know about a really clean Truck I have. If I can be of any help to anyone on this site, it's my pleasure.

Re: Diesel F250 WOW!!!

your truck is worth what someone is willing to pay for it and i go to Manheim 3 times a month, Adesa once a week, and Bordentown once a week, have been in the business for over 15 years, and wholesale and retail in excess of 100 cars and trucks per month. 03's are falling off due to the amount of problems that are occuring with them. i'm sure you'll have no problem selling it, but to me being in the business its a $29-$30K truck...if i know anybody looking for one i will let them know. had 3 last week ( 2-02's and an 04) and are all outta them right now

we mostly sell at the auctions. 99.9% of our inventory is new car dealer trades. sometimes we'll buy at the sale but usually just sell.

I just bought a 03 6.0 F-350 XLT Sport PKG FX4 loaded with all options plus some extras. Only down side is mileage at 50K but he has all records and this truck is super clean.

I paid 29,000 for it. All I can say is prices for these trucks is ALL OVER THE BOARD. Do your shopping and you'll find what you need. It took me 2 months to find this one.
