Rode 250 Astro Pursangs on the short track circut for a few years. Fast and fun. Not very reliable, but when they ran they were the bike to beat. If your Dad had a European shop you know all about Montessa and Penton just to name a few others. Sam

Was'nt it the "Swamp Rat"? Roby, that Honda Looks AWESOME!! Is that yours? Do you still have it? Man, those were the days! I have an '02 CR-125 that I bought new in Janurary of '03... it's got less than 10 hours on it... and that was just piddle fart'n around. Got it to get back in shape...HA! Anybody interested in an '02? I really need to get rid of it.

No that isn't mine. It is a picture of one that is currently on e-Bay. I have heard of all those bikes Bultaco, Can-Am, Montessa, Penton, Maico, Husky, Hodaka. I hated the left kick start on the Elsinore 250s. The last MX bike I had was an 81 RM125. I ran it in the ground. If I had any place to ride I would love to have another one.

Yes I remember all those and even the Can Ams that popped up and ran good. Being a kid on a stripped enduro riding with the older guys whenyou could actually go 30 mils up trails had it's faults though. The older guys I rode with all had Bultacos and Maicos and that was about the time they came out with the 4.60/18 back tire that had that one
w i d e center lug and a Maico with one of those would throw bricks at us kids on slower stuff.
I have a YZ250,Moto 4 225 and Warrior 350 4 wheelers now as well as my collection of enduros. Oh well one day I'll quit maybe but I can always justify them as pit bikes at the drag(car and boat)racesand lake and the Harley to throw on the truck for transportation while there...
