Guys...NADA trade-in value is NOT what the dealer will give you on a trade. Most (if not all) dealers use GALVES now. These are wholesale prices that are markedly lower than NADA trade values. For a few bucks you can go online at www.galves.com and get the real price that dealers or insurers are willing to pay. At least if you know this figure, and someone offers you lower, you can tell them to take a hike...

Just my $0.02 from actual experiences.

She said I have first chance to buy back my bike. I asked how much, she had to go get a figure and she said $250! I said I guess I would like to have it back for sentimental reasons . I immediately sold it as is for $3,500. I was straight up with the new owner and he had the parts to fix it. So my point is at least State Farm is one that offers the owner first the chance to buy it back. I thought all Insurance companies did that. ???

I had state farm. And you were lucky with the person that handled your claim.
My problem when to a lawyer.

I'm happy to hear she and the poochie are doing okay. I hope the insurance thing works out.
