Thank you GGB mufflers!!!

As some of you know we have been battling the noise issue up here the past few seasons. I had been running Gaffrig switchables but they just didn't cut it.

After some research on here, (Troutly) I decided to try the GGB product. They are a full time muffler that doesn't choke the power and they did the trick! :D

I'm now 89.6 db and my neighbors will love me for it :drink:

If you are having noise issues I highly reccommend GGB. They ship the same day as you order them too!

Hey man, should be a fun weekend. We were talking about getting the river crew together and renting that big aluminum jet boat for a sebago cruise.

As for the mufflers... now I can listen to the tunes you installed last summer :D

Biggus,
What are you running for exhaust manifolds and engine displacement in front of those GGB's?
I am seriously looking at their product. Priced right too!

Re: Thank you GGB mufflers!!!

Where you able to get down to 89db with one set of mufflers per engine or two?
What rpm loss if any did you see?

Thanks,
Rick

Your welcome Kurt. 89 behind those engines is awesome. What about the RPM and MPH? Did we take anything away?

Re: Thank you GGB mufflers!!!

GGB,

I'm extremely happy with my new muffling system! We did not lose any speed or rpm. I like the fact that they are straight through with no restrictions whatsoever. Thank you!!!

rv,

I had installed the clamp-on Extreme muffler along with the 8" long high-flow louver inserts in the tailpipes.

Sutphen30,

The entire system can be removed in 10 minutes time. I'll try to resize some pics.

HEY ! I sell them ! :drink:
I sold and installed a pair on a 40' excalibur hawk . It has around 450-500 hp 454's with gill dry pipes . Without the mufflers it was loud and anoying . The owner thought it would be xcool untill he drove it the first time ......

We put the GGB clamp on mufflers and WOW ! What a difference ! It still has a nice TUFF sound but it is MUCH quieter ! As the owner calls it , "they took the STING out of those dry pies !" :D :D

Reasonably priced ,
works great ,
ANd Great people to deal with !

Thanks Graham for an awsome product !

Joe.

We still have them, although our stock is running thin this time of year.

Did HPI close down? I have not heard about these mufflers in awhile. I have HPIs and they just barely make me legal with twin stock HP500s, but no loss of power.

Re: Thank you GGB mufflers!!!

Just put 2 pr. of the GGB's on our Fountain. Had Stellings with no mufflers on 950 S/C's, and boy, were they loud. Now, it's much more quiet, yet it still has that good sound without the bite of an open header.
BTW, No power loss that I can see. :D
