The plan is to launch the boat Saturday afternoon the 6th near the western end of Sandusky Bay at a friends condo, and drive it over to Put-In Bay while the wife takes the Jeep over on the ferry. Other than that, the schedule's wide open (allowing, of course, for family reunion-type stuff). We're staying in some (basic) cottages on the northeast corner of the island, since most of my relatives don't want to spend big $$$. I can't wait.

C spray - What did you do, buy a 28' Batboat? Or is Chris renting those?
I was at Chris' shop a few times about 2 years ago, and he had one of the 28' pleasure versions there - I don't recall if he was also building a 28' race version. Helluva nice guy.

Bouyhunter - I bought my 28 from Volvo Penta in 1997. It's a true Swedish Mannerfelt, laid up and vacuum bagged with epoxy and Kevlar. Unfortunately, I've got it so far apart for some cleanup and re-rigging that it looks like I won't have it done, so we're back to the idea of bringing the 382. Looks like I have some decent deals on transport lined up, but it still will be considerably more than it would be to tow the Batboat myself.
So - who's going to be around that week???

SOX - is that your's or C-spray's.
Nice boat - very cool.
How wide is that thing from wing tip to wing tip??
Any problem when trailering (due to width?) (or "lift" for that matter)

2) Thanks
3) 10' 2"
4) Yep. Scraped the port wing on several tollbooths over the years. No problem with lift. Or drag - tows easier that a 21' bowrider.
Anyway - Who's going to be around between the 6th and the 13th? We're planning at least one trip into Toledo and down to Rossford, and an around-islands tour or two.
