Pompano is our area. We have a 38 Top Gun. Shooters is the main place in the Pompano/Fort Lauderdale area. There is also the sands, Houstans, & 15th St. Fishery. Montys in Miami. Good hang out spot is Lake Boca right in Boca Inlet.

Do you have a place to store it? We can store it at our showroom for you if you need a place. Fenced in and all.... 15 Min. from the ramp.

Just a little of topic but did Pompano get much of this storm.
I hope to bring my A.T. back down this winter for a week or two and will look you guys up.

Re: Where to Boat in Pompano Fl.

Pompano was spared most of it, some strong winds, and rain, but nothing like you see on the news. I am about 10 miles north, and we were out in the neighbors driveway drinking beers(what else are ya gonna do after the cable goes out), only a few of us flew away!!! Actually, my neighbor lost his siding, we boarded it up, and that kinda turned into a block party, til the idiot decided to go up in his attic to try to save some things, and fell thru his ceiling onto the garage floor!!!!

Look us up, always willing to show off the local waters(and watering holes)!!!

I'm running a 1999 38' AVS, w/500efi's. I'm not sure exactly which week in March, but will contact you ahead of time. Hoping the price of gas goes down by then or its going to be an expensive vaca.!!

What he said. The Cove...Friday Happy Hour. Your eyes will bleed. If you're married, give the wife a credit card and send her to the mall. Get there early for a good spot...not a lot of dockage. Shooter's Sat/Sun 3 ~ 5, then float next door to Taverna Opa for Greek food and table dancing until late.

I second what Danny O said! You definately don't want to miss The Cove in Deerfield on Fridays.

All those So Fla water front hot spots mentioned have been around for years and I'm glad to see they are still going strong.

How many remember some of the hot spots long gone from the late 80's to the early 90's, some of them short lived and some had a good run, clubs like Joesph's, Club Boca, Baja, Heaven, The Dragon Club, Septembers, Flix, and going way back, Pete and Lenny's? Sat and Sun afternoons on the beach at HoJo's and Mark 2100, and for the gentlemen (and some ladies) the Doll House, Platinum and Solid Gold. I'm sure I missed a few, is Yesterday's and Christopher's still dance clubs!

I am sure that your post 'ny billy' is going to bring some good info on those old clubs. The 80's were great !! Joesphs is now a 4 story parking lot. I was never the type to hang at the others, I did park in from of the Mark 2100, but thats now called 'the palms'. The 3 go go's are gone. I am hanging at da 'Bada Bing'....

I haven't been to Lauderdale in a while, but I do remember Baja, Christopher, and Yesterdays. I know Shooters is still there, and probably Bahia Mar too. Ok, time to make some plans. :drink:

Im not knocking the area in Lauderdale, but you got to be nuts to think that the Atlantic has better boating than the Gulf. there must be a 10-1 ratio of bars and restuarants to stop at and places to anchor or beach the boat on the Gulf side than the Atlantic. Again, nothing at all wrong with the Atlantic, believe me, I love the area, but the boating doesnt compare

Get in touch with Steve and Bobby, You wont meet any nicer folks than them.

By the way, all the spots mentioned are great spots to boat to. If a longer trip is desired, I would try Key Largo also

I think if you are looking to flat out RUN, the Atlantic is the place to do it.

The only time I was on the Gulf was to test a 96 Top Gun and it didn't impress us, neither the boat or the water :D. But hey, were into the big water runs

Call me nuts then

Hey thespy,

Those were some good times back then!

I'm pretty much up to speed on the local changes, down your way regularly. Shooters is a must, at least one visit when I'm down, even on a short stay, great crowd on the weekends and how about Houston's barbecue ribs, do I need to say more? Don't know da Bada Bing, is it a T T bar, where is it, what was it? I heard on Stern the other day, the Club Scores is comming to Lauderdale, don't know where, I'm sure it's going to be on Fed Hwy some where. Good talkin to ya!
