I Currently Run A '03 28 Daytona Tall Deck. The Cabin Is Roomy Enough For My Two Small Children, And Is Suitable To Escape The Elements, If Necessary, For Adults. It Does Take Big Power To Make This Hull Perform. The Boat Was Rigged With 496ho's From The Factory, And I Felt The Performance Was Mild. The Boat Ran 88-90 Mph With No Fuel And One Passenger And Had No Acceleration At All. Currently, The Boat Is Rigged With Twin 515 Ci 620 Hp Motors And Now The Hull Really Performs. Slight Porpose At 30-40 Mph Which Is Corrected With Trim, Slight Tunnel Spray At Low Speeds - Under 35 Mph. The Hull Turns Without Incident In Any Conditions . The Freeboard On The 28 Really Gives You A Very Flexible Boat Which Can Be Used In Almost All Conditions. When The Water Gets Rough On The Weekend It Seems The 26's Really Have To Back Off To Handle The Bigger Waves.

If you are looking for a 28, let me know. Good friend has his for sale, 98, but all redone for 03, 103mph (I have seen, he said he did over 110 with it).

Where do you do your boating? I'm curious about the size of water that the 28 tall deck can handle?

Anyone ever deal with Eliminator directly to purchase a 3/4 finished boat without motors???

I Boat On Lake Lanier In Georgia. On The Weekend, We Get A Lot Of Cross Chop And Cruiser Wakes. The Hull Has Handled Anything That The Lake Has Thrown At It To Date.

I've been eyeing the 28TD for quite some time or possibly ordering a new 30 without power directly from Eliminator depending on $$. Lake Lanier is pretty good size isn't it?

28 TD will run over just about any lake chop with no problems. Still gotta look out for the 550 SeaRay wakes though if you're on a lake with HUGE cruisers.

Mine does 102 with 500EFI's and boxes. No porpose anywhere.

i believe in the latest issue of hot boat they have a nice article on the new 28 running the new chevrolet 572 (620hp) crate motors and if i read it correctly they said those motors cost about as much as mercury's 496 and way under the 525, but i would call eliminator before you quote me on that
