Yes, its true. Martin in a 31 Awesome Cat. Beautiful boat, just re done with motors, drives, paint, sterio, ect. The boat was floated back up with air bags and towed to his trailer. Now the good news... No scratch on his incredible paint job, props good, #5 drives ok, and he got both motors fired this week. Electriconics, interior, gauges etc. will need to be gone through. The boat delaminated in a spot and filled one the boat up with water. He stopped before he got to gilligans and noticed the water so decided to go put in on the trailer (not knowing it was going to get worse). He made it back to Maryland Point accross from Fairview beach and turned to go around the shoreline, said the boat sank down on one side like it was going to flip over so headed to shore. He came off planed to run the boat to the beach and upon slowing down his rear wave went over the back of the boat due to all the water already in it. The boat sank in 8-9 feet of water. I did not see it but am sure it was a terrible sight.

Heard about this too. Right after he won the radar shootout as well. A mutual friend has stated he is bound and determined to have the boat back on the water this weekend. Yes, THIS coming weekend. Martin is like that. I wish him luck.
