little project i just finished

this is a 1947 Buick Roadmaster Estate wagon i just finished 2 and a half year restoration on. its is a great driving car and will fit right into touring very well. they only made 300 of these and survival was low. we believe there are less than a dozen left in existance, the wood cars did not last long. we actually bought this car as a parts car for a 1946 Buick Super estate wagon i did several years ago. bought it sight unseen and after seeing it was a roadmaster we decided to put in line after the super. great cars and wonderful to drive, no trailer queen's here.

Re: little project i just finished
I love those old ''woodys''. That kind of reminds me of a Chrysler Town and Country that I did about 25 years ago for a customer.

Roger- :D :D that crate comment was funny. speaking of Chrysler heres a 47 Town&Country i did 6 years ago. just had it out yesterday for some test miles . doing a bit of routine maintanance and detailing. these cars are owned by a really good customer of mine up in Gaylord Mi. i have done several cars for him and they all get driven. NO trailer queens. he is a great customer and friend that really enjoys owning and driving them. at last count i think he has 18 cars. i also did another 1946 Buick Super woodie wagon, 1948 Roadmaster convertible, 1941 Cadillac conv., 1936 Lincoln Town Car KA and maintain the fleet for him.
Mrs.P- yes, its burgandy. very light metallic. goes well with th ewood color. WW- his name is Dick Thams. Hes in the X-ray biz. see ya in the Keys. cant wait :D :D Jayboat- yes it a long grain linyl. neat stuff  |
