Boat names have both their good and bad sides. The good side is your buddies recognize you and the women don't forget you. 
The down side, the cops readily recognize you and other boaters who don't like go fasters now have a name tag they can readily apply and identify you to their friends etc..

Boat names have another benefit in the state of Missouri. If you register your boat with the coast guard and name it, you don't have to pay sales tax on it.
