EWWWW, question time. What gear ratio? what props? and now the big one....HOW MUCH AND WHEN CAN I HAVE ONE ??????? The only thing that has been stopping me from building big power for my Daytona is the fear of destroying another black hawk.

Airpacker, the gear ratio is 1.33 and I run 31" pitch. 125 mph is about 6200 rpm. My motor will turn 7000 rpm. Cam is 282, 274 @ .050 with 116 lobe centers. 572 Arias Aluminum Chevy with 11.7 deck height, Jessel rocker system, and of course (2) large turbos

Nice Job Tom!!! I had heard you fired up the band saw!! I am glad you got it to work and I sure hope it solves the problem. And is that 125mph speed radar by the officals (the boys in blue)? Or dont they have a place to park at the launch and get a shot at you?? Just kidding. It has been a long road, but I think you may have won.. I on the other had am still working at it, with a long way to go..
Congrats!!

Dick

Baronmarine, Yes I helped Bill with his boat. We tried several new things on his boat, #6 drive, transmission in the set back, two different X dimensions, blueprinted bottom, and of course two large pulse tuned turbos. Bill always wants to be on the cutting edge and understands the patience required to accomplish this. This is a four year project that we just finished and he is already talking about next years mods. It's a tremendous boat right now, 114 GPS, idles at 450 RPM, and it's a 30' Checkmate.
Thanks, Tom
