Thanks for the tip on the Duratec. I did the bottom with it last year and it came out OK, still need to sand some more :rolleyes: I have a gravity fed paint gun that I drilled the tip out slightly. I will test it first before I spray. There is a guy on E-Bay selling a gravity gun with a 2mm tip that I may try.

Oh yea, I removed the transom asseblies but there is no gasket. This is a 1990, could that be why?? Or are you talking about from the outside?

The out side has the gasket on it. You will need a portapower to slowly push it out. When I was doing mine I coiled the hyd lines up and tied them to the plate on the inside and when I had been working on it for about a week I found some of the oil running down the outside of the transom. Notice the first pic.

By the way I see you talking about doing your bilge in gel coat. Mine was done with paint and applied with a BRUSH . :p I think it turned out pretty good.

Just re-painted my bilge with PPG Concept and a brush. Came out f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s. Easy to do, too... :D
