Waterproof LED lighting

Does anyone know where to buy led water proof strip lighting that can be used in the engine compartment. I have a local guy that can get it , but I want to compare price. I can't find it in any of my marine dist.'s books. Thanks , Tom

Just a thought, but www.superbrightleds.com has some under car LED kits that may work.

LED Under Car Kit
Kit includes two 48 inch (48 LED) Tubes, two 36 inch (24 LED) Tubes, Mounting Kit with power switch
Select LED color
Additional shipping charges may apply for 2-Day or OverNight shipping
professional installation suggested
$ 79.95

I purchased a set to illuminate my truck bed since I put a fiberglass lid on it. You can get them in various colors, or in white which is what I bought. They can be installed up under the rails out of the way, came with mounting brackets. The specific part is here:

TGS, Thats what I'm looking to do. The LED 's that I want are flexible and they are not in a tube . I also want to use them for cockpit liighting. Tom

The link to the ones I recommended are tubes, so if you're looking for something flexible, look for "rope lights". Home Depot carries those in all sorts of colors. I'm not sure how bright they are, depends on distance between each LED, how many per inch and the brightness of those LED's. Shop around. SuperbrightLED's .com was half what most others charge for those tubes, perhaps they're as competitive with ropelights. Reputable, and shipped same day.

I love the effects in the bilge, looks like I have another project for next year. :D

http://www.innovativelight.com/ they do it all - even LED nav lights! We use LED nav lights on the race boat and they do not suffer like regular light bulbs do from shock and vibration.
