Re: Boat buyers from the UK........
Never actually entered into a deal with anyone from the UK, and not to knock anyone from there, I have many friends there. When I was selling my last boat I received many Emails from people from the UK stating things such as " I have someone there in the US that has a Cashiers check for x amount and I can sign it over to you, but I need you to forward the difference to me." It was allways a Email such as this and the "cashiers" check that they had was allways for more money than I was selling my item for. Seemed to common as I received many of these for my boat and also for a race car that I was selling. Like they say "buyer beware"
Good Luck

Yea, right now I'm dicking around with a "Carol Daubb" from the UK. I'm looking forward to her sending me the bogus check.

Sounds like a scam to me - those types of thing are very common over here - often from another country in Africa - they try it on anything that is advertised! It is possible that person is not from the UK at all!

Here is a response I received this AM (being that is 7:55 AM Sat morn here)
"Good Morning XXXXX,
I have discussed with him concerning the payment, he informed me that his firm wants to give him a boat loan so as soon as they issue him a check for the boat, he will send it to you.
He then advised me to discuss with you so that he can send the check to as soon as possible. Therefore, I urge to provide your mailing name, address and telephone number so that I can send you the check.
Looking forward to concluding the transaction with you soon.
Regards.
XXXXX XXXXX.
I tried registering for "madboat" so I could post there, but have not yet got a activation email yet.

That's the exact same one I received. So they are broadcasting these out. Did you get one from "Otibua Williams" trying to export 15 mil? It's comming from the same e-mail address.
