When you drain a block dry it will rust internally

why dont you guys just run the antifreeze through your sea strainer. it will save you a lot of time... start up those doggies, and keep the strainer full of the good stuff. when you feel good about it, its done without the headache and all these rube goldberg contraptions.....

Interesting set-up. I do what stecz20 suggests after draining the block and exhaust.Three to four gallons through the sea strainer usually does it. With the Speedies, it simplifies things a little. Lots of good ideas out there. Go with what works best for you.

1. I don't have sea strainers.
2. No headaches involved ....its a simple set-up.

pretty cool setup, i think i may have to build somthing like that next year for sure. i like the idea of using the bilge pump and that yard cart thingie  i just did the twins a few days ago. that looks alot easier than my way. keep in mind though guys that "green stuff" isnt to good for the environment when you fire'em up for the first time in the spring. the pink stuff offers all the same protection. not preach'n just somthing to keep in mind.
