No offense but it does, A guy I work with sold a Holley Pro-Jection set up ,that didn't work, said in the ad JUNK and the bid started at $50 and it sold for over $200. The unit was at least 10 years old and once again....it didn't work!

I sold something and blatantly said it dosent work.

I got negative feedback on the item.

Want to know why?

The damn thing worked.

It worked, and he paid the price for it not working, and was upset.

Guys - a question

I have a Bravo that is a 9.999 on a 1-10 scale I had my buys redo about a month ago. It had approx. 100 hrs on it and a seal went and allowed water into the oil and we all know what happened next.

We rebuilt it (Premier/master tech certified Mercury shop) by my tech that just does drives, primed it, painted it, ordered new decals, etc. and will offer a complete warranty with it. It came off a 42 lightning Fountain.

List on the unit from Mercury is over $8,000 and that's what I charge when my shop does the work (we don't do alot of parts only sales). I put it on ebay for 3500 and didn't get an offer. WTF?

How much is everyone paying for these and what would a fair OSO price be?

Thanks for your help.

I bought 2 Bravo1 drives in really good condition from "the man", Too Old for $3,600 earlier this year. That was a smoking deal. I don't think your price ($3,500) is bad. Did you say you normally charge $8K to refurbish a Bravo 1? If so, that would be very high priced.
