Default Offshore Video and Picture Help Thread !

What is the best way to capture still shots from video?

Is there any company that can pull a good clear shot?

I have some great "air shots" launching off some big waves, and I want to capture the picture.

I have a win TV card for the VHS to digital transfer.... pictures don't come out too well unless it is a digital camera and rand a a high shutter rate. I'll post some stills off of both VHS and digital later so you can see the differance.

If I were you I'd try to learn to do it with windows movie maker

It is in

start>programs>accessories>entretainment>windows movie maker

I attached a pic of where to find it

Thanks.

The camera is a SONY Digital Hi-8. Is there an option in Windows Movie maker for capturing stills? I couldnt find it if there is.

We do it all the time. The software we use is Adobe Premier . If you mail me a copy of the tape I can probably grab a frame or two during lunch some day.
