Heading to Florida
 

Is anyone else from the Northeast heading down to Fl next week 11/10 with there boat in tow. I will be leaving Wed Nov 10 from Long Island . Looking to see if anyone wants to follow each other. Tom :cool:

Tom, give Smitty a call at 732-920-3945. I'm not sure if The Jersey Boyz are leaving Thursday or Friday but we have about 13 boat and toy rigs going plus we're hooking up with Jim of the S Class boat Pour It On somewhere in Virginia. See you on the road. Augie

I took 95 down earlier this year and there was a lot of construction around the Ft. Lauderdale area and the drivers really get goofy around there. :crazy:

I would pay the extra cash and take the Florida Turnpike. Its much better for the nerves.

Travelers-
The rough road/construction starts in Palm Beach...
It's no problem so long as you don't hit it at any peak time during the week...
Your alternate is to jump over to the turnpike at Jupiter. 95 comes within about 1/4 mile of the pike there, so it's easy to hop across...
Have your toll money handy though.. Our pike is friggin expensive... Lots of toll booths in Miami-Dade.. :mad:

I will definetly be taking the turnpike from FT Pierce down , because about 7 yrs ago I made the mistake of taking 95 to the end . That put me in the middle of Miami , and what a --cking disaster that was. It was like driving in NYC . :drink:
