For the flat bottom fans out there, here is a Canyon Marine step bottom flatty drag boat with a 498 cu. in. 1178 horsepower at 9000 rpm (no blower!), 830 ft-lbs. big block Chevy. Does 7.30 ET at 140 mph. - Michael

Who says diesels have no power? A diesel dragster with a Cummins 5.9L 1000 hp, 2000 ft. lbs., with sequential turbochargers providing 130 pounds of boost (no, that's not a misprint). Still in testing, but does 7.80 ET, and being shown by the two year old Diesel Hot Rod Association. - Michael

Ford models milling around at the end of the show (not of the car variety). Ford had the best looking models that I saw (the one of the right is super model quality). - Michael

Picture of boat ramp at Lake Mead just outside Las Vegas. With the drought last year, the lake is a record 107 feet low. - Michael

By the way, they have had to move the marina way offshore. You can see how long the floating dock walkway is just offshore. - Michael
