AMSOil Pre-Charger Systems...
Any experience? I like the way these things operate. Does anyone have them on their boat? 496HO by chance? Do you see your Oil Pressure go up when Ignition turned on?
Basically, this is not a system that pressurizes your whole oil system, but rather squirts 160cc of oil into your oil system when you turn your ignition key on. It goes on pretty easy from what I read, and they have two systems.
AMK-01, the “bolt on” configuration, is designed for use in combination with the BMK13, 15 through 18 Series Dual Remote Mount Filtration Systems.
This system basically replaces your screw on oil filter with this system that pipes your oil over to their mount with Two Oil Filters, and the Pre-Charger, all in one piece.
AMK-02 is a “stand-alone” configuration designed for universal application. The AMK-02 can be used with any engine application and mounts at any angle.
This system is place inline of your oil system, between the filter and the block.
Full info on both Pre-Charger and the Dual Filter System:

I am considering both of them, but not sure which to purchase. I may even purchase one for the truck, as it only gets used/started on the weekends.

Re: AMSOil Pre-Charger Systems...
Fred,
From the AMSOil Online Store Website:
BMK-18 - Marine By-Pass Filtration System - - $460.00
AMK-01 - AMS-Oiler Oil Precharger Bolt On Model - - $338.00
AMK-02 - AMS-Oiler Oil Precharger Stand-Alone Model - - $400.00
On a scale of 1-10; how invasive is the install of the pre-luber? How difficult is it? Can I fit it on a pair of 496HOs with stock manifolds that are REALLY close together?

Re: AMSOil Pre-Charger Systems...
Thanks Fred, but to be honest, the first two parts go together, for the dual remote filter and pre-charger making a total of $798. (BMK-18 and AMK-01)
The stand-alone pre-charger (AMK-02) just interupts your return to the block line with the canister.
I will call you after the holiday. Happy Thanksgiving. The batteries are going in this weekend along with a few other goodies.

I really been thinking about one of these,, darn boats sit all week and the oil is all but drained into the pan, Dry starts
seems like it could be used to pre oil the motor in the spring, If it holds a charge all winter?
