there is a hero among us...

The shirt off his back is in effect what TOO OLD did for me, i bought a K.E. bellhouse from him and was unable to lacate another. so fred at trick marine (aka TOO OLD) called his mechanic and had him take a bellhousing of one of his own blower motors to help out a customer in need. ME... i offered to pay him ana extra hundred bucks for doing it and he refused to take the addl cash i offered. what a stand up guy. he has earned a loyal customer for his heroic act. i was shocked and awed by him doing this for me. Thanks so much fred, your kindness will not soon be forgotten. i hope sharing this with the rest of you folks on oso will encourage you to give fred a chance to earn your bussiness as he did mine. ratman

As I've stated before, Fred has and continues to raise the bar for customer service.
No matter what it is I might need, now or in the future, he is THE FIRST person I will always contact. He has helped me out much farther than anyone else would have. I hope someday to be able to return the kindness.

Fred Ceceil Rocks. Plain and Simple...He just plain rocks....

Maybey this thread should be ....." I CAN TOP THAT'"

here's my Fred story....

I bought parts off some guy. Mailed him over $ 3,400.00 and three weeks later
still no parts. I had spoken to Fred a few weeks earlier about some other things.
Well I knew this guy was in Fred's neck of the woods, so I called him.
After giving him the info he immediatly e-mailed this guy and told him he would
be at his place the next morning to pick up either my parts or my money.

The guy immediatly contacted me ( pissed off to say the least ) and said the parts
would be sent immediatly. Got them 3 days later!

Talk about a person going above and beyond. Fred owed me nothing but was just
so pissed that I was getting the run around that he got right on this.

Fred if you read this , you know I'm still extremely grateful. And will make good on my promise to take you out to dinner on my next trip down to FL.

OK who's got a better story than that?

P.S. this guy lived about 2 hrs. from Fred

I just "met" Fred from my Scott Summeral thread. From a private message he sent me I know everything good you guys are saying about him is absolutely true. The stand-up guys will cancel out the scammers every time.

Another thing, small but very significant. Whenever I talk to Fred on the phone, he NEVER rushes the conversation. Even though he might be the busiest (or at least one of them) member on our Board, he always finds the time to really talk.

WOW, its not like Fred to not respond to one of these posts with a big "AWW SHUCKS FELLERS, IT TWEREN'T NUTHIN" :) If all marine businesses were run by Fred and those like him, there wouldn't be a bad business forum!!!!!!

I hate the guy!!!! Look at the damn war that he and I have been involved in for all this time. Guy cuts me no slack and now he is farming work out to try and beat me, then he sells all the parts off his boat to set himself back more and then I am what.... sapposed to feel sorry for the old fart when he looses yet again and I make it three and 0..... :D:D:D

You're darn straight on that one Dennis! I have only heard of good things on how Fred/Too Old deals with folks. I believe his business will grow more and more for just this one reason. :)

Shoot, I'll bet you a Whopper Extra Value Meal that CP Performance has one of those KE thingys laying around the shop and just won't ship it to you because you are not on their "good guys" list.

I've said it in many threads (recently!)... Fred is THE BEST man in offshore. Imagine if he were to unite all of offshore racing... one big happy racing family. If anyone could do it, it would be Too Old. :D
